ANNUAL RAFFLE FUNDRAISER:
We have been handing out $5.00 raffle tickets in packs of 5 = $25.00 to our families & friends, asking our families & friends to sell tickets. We have also been selling them at our home swim meets. If you haven’t received a packet yet, please see a board member and if you have and want more, please see a board member. We want to have raffles sold by July 27 as our drawing will take place at our end of season gathering/awards ceremony. We have three exciting prizes this year (1) Beach Wagon filled with Beach Gear (2) “Summer Fun” basket filled with so many fun things! (3) * Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Tree. * We also are requesting donations of lottery tickets for the tree by July 17th. Any scratch off is acceptable.
HOUSEKEEPING NOTES:
Please do not address our coaches during practices or swim meets, rather approach a board member who is available at each evening practice and every meet. Our coaches need to focus on coaching our children. Coaches are not to be interrupted during practices or swim meets. This is stated within our Code of Conduct.
Cudas should not be dropped off to swim practice early without adult supervision. If you need to drop off your Cuda to practice early and an adult is not able to stay with your Cuda, your Cuda MUST remain within the pool deck area.
As with all sports … there are many things that may take place during a swim meet and so we are not able to provide the exact amount of time any particular meet will take from beginning to end, the hours can sometimes be fluid. You should plan on at least 4-hours.
If you wish to receive a text as well as an email pertaining to weather, you must accept our invitation to join us via Remind. This weekend, we will send out one more invite to this who have not accepted thus far.
As you may have heard through the news the Ulster County Pool where DUSO Championships was to take place, is closed for the season due to ongoing water loss issues. DUSO Championships will STILL be happening and as soon as new plans have been developed and confirmed, we will make everyone aware.
We are excited for this week’s meets and we feel disappointed not to be able to see everyone today and swim. We know today’s late rain call was a bummer and inconvenient for many of us. Regardless, we hope that you are all able to enjoy your day!
