Hello Cuda Families,

Here is some information for this week!

1. TAG DAY- Thank you to everyone who helped out this past Saturday. This is a HUGE fundraiser for us and we brought in $1,785! 

2. Practices this week: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Blue group (new and younger swimmers) will practice 6:00-7:00 pm each night. 

Gold group (older and more experienced swimmers) will practice 7:00-8:00 pm each night. We will switch to 7:00-8:30 pm after school ends. 

Next week, we will have practice Monday-Friday at the same times as this week.

Bring a friend (or two, or three) to practice with us. They can try it out for free from June 17th-June25th. Friends can come to as many nights as they want during this time period. After June 25th, the expectation would be to register in order to continuing practicing with us. A parent or guardian must stay at practice and fill out a form for contact information.

Special thanks to the Town of Wawarsing and the pool director for getting our pool looking great and ready to go!

*Reminder to bring your donation of a case of water (Blue group) and a case of Gatorade (Gold group) to any practice before the first meet. *

3. Swimtopia App 

Please download the app if you haven't already. This is what we use to RSVP to meets, sign up for jobs at meets, event updates, reminders, etc. You can begin to RSVP for all meets and sign up for jobs as the schedule is loaded. Ask a Board Member for help if you need.

4. Officials

We need still need a few more officials for the 2026 season. If you are interested in being an official this year, please let us know by emailing [email protected]

5. Swim suits: Apologies if you went on to Swim Outlet recently to purchase a female swim suit. The company discontinued the less expensive blue suit option we had picked for this season. We weren't contacted about this so the suit was removed from our store without our knowledge. We have selected a similar one, but are awaiting Swim Outlet's logo approval. It should be up on the site by Friday of this week. In the meantime, you can either purchase the more expensive suit or you can get any blue suit from any store of your choice, it just will not have our logo on it (which is fine) or wait until the new one gets approved. Please see a board member if you have any questions. 

Swim Equipment Swap- as you look through your equipment for this season, you might find suits that don't fit anymore, or goggles you don't use any more, etc. Please consider giving them to a Board Member at any practice. We are creating a rack that will include these used items for others to take and use.

The store is open again. Orders will taken from now until June 21st. Delivery to your home by the first or second meet.

7. Cuda Sponsorships:

We are looking for organizations, families, and businesses to sponsor the Barracudas for 2026. Please share with anyone who might be interested (or consider being a sponsor yourself!).

As a non-profit organization, we rely on fundraising to help pay for our swim season. Funds raised help cover pool usage, lifeguards, insurance, coaches' salaries, equipment, and lots more. We strive to keep registration costs low and provide a great experience for your swimmer -- and fundraising makes that possible! Every little bit helps!
